Codas Labs, LLC (“Codas Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our websites, software applications, platforms, services, training programs, and related offerings (collectively, the “Services”) to do the same.

This Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy outlines our procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

1. Scope of This Policy

This DMCA Policy applies to all content made available through the Services, including but not limited to:
• User-submitted content
• Uploaded files, media, text, code, prompts, or data
• AI-generated outputs created using our tools or training
• Community posts, comments, or shared materials
• Training materials, templates, and resources
• Content transmitted via integrations, APIs, or webhooks

Codas Labs does not pre-screen all content and relies on the DMCA notice-and-takedown framework to address alleged infringements.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Notice)

If you believe that content available through the Services infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a written DMCA notice to our designated DMCA agent that includes all of the following information:
1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
3. Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including sufficient information to locate it (such as URLs, screenshots, or file names).
4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

3. Our Response to DMCA Notices

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, Codas Labs will, at its sole discretion:
• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
• Notify the user who posted the content
• Take reasonable steps to comply with applicable DMCA requirements

We reserve the right to remove content without prior notice if required by law or to protect our legal interests.

4. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that content you submitted was removed or disabled due to mistake or misidentification, you may submit a DMCA counter-notification containing the following:
1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your judicial district (or, if outside the U.S., the district where Codas Labs is located) and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content unless the original complainant files a court action within the timeframe required by law.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

Codas Labs maintains a zero-tolerance policy for repeat copyright infringement.
• Users who are determined to be repeat infringers may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
• We reserve the right to terminate access to the Services at any time, without notice, for users who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Some content generated through Codas Labs’ Services may be created using artificial intelligence systems.
• Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any content they generate, upload, publish, or distribute complies with applicable copyright laws.
• Codas Labs does not guarantee that AI-generated outputs are free from third-party rights.
• Users assume all risk and liability related to the use of AI-generated content.

This DMCA Policy is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Codas Labs encourages users to consult qualified legal counsel regarding copyright issues.

8. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to modify this DMCA Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and become effective immediately upon publication.
