Privacy
The short version: this website does not track you. It sets no advertising cookies, runs no analytics, and there is no third-party tracking script anywhere on it. What follows is the long version, written plainly and describing only what the site actually does.
Who runs this site
Codas Labs is operated by Codas Labs, LLC. Any question about this policy, or any request about your information, can go to the address below and will be answered by a person.

What the site collects from you
Directly, nothing. There is no analytics on this site, no advertising or tracking cookie is set, and no third-party tracking script is loaded. There is no account to create, no login, and no form on this site that posts your details to a server we control.
Where a page offers to sign you up to something, the button opens a message in your own email program, pre-addressed to us, which you then choose to send or discard. Until you press send in your own email program, we receive nothing at all.
What your browser stores
One item, and only if an announcement bar is showing at the top of the page and you dismiss
it. Your browser remembers that dismissal locally under the name
codas-wbar-dismissed, so the same bar does not reappear on every page view.
- It is stored by your browser on your own device, not sent to us.
- It holds an identifier for the announcement, nothing about you.
- Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Other companies involved in serving this page
Two, both of which necessarily see your network address because they deliver part of the page:
- Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host it keeps standard server logs, which record requests and the network addresses they came from, for operating and securing the service.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces the page uses. Loading a font from Google means your browser makes a request to Google, so Google sees your network address as part of delivering it.
Neither is used by us for advertising or profiling, and we do not place any advertising or analytics tag on this site.
If you write to us or subscribe
If you email us — about working together, about a role, or about anything else — we hold your address and whatever you chose to write.
- We use your address to send you the thing you asked for, and to reply to you.
- We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it.
- Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
- You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to the address above and we will do it.
How long we keep things
Correspondence and subscription records are kept while they are useful for the purpose you gave them for, and removed on request. Host server logs are kept on the host's own retention schedule for operational and security purposes.
Children
This site is intended for people running or working in a business. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Where your information is handled
We are based in the United States and our service providers process data there. If you write to us from outside the United States, you are sending your information to the United States.
Changes to this policy
If this changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it. Because the site collects so little, we expect changes to be rare and to follow a change in what the site does, not a change in what we want to do with your data.
